Review: I was attracted to this film with a bit of fear, based on the trailers and thought of sitting through a predictable Hollywood summer sci-fi blockbuster. It was Guillermo del Toros preliminary work, which gave me over the threshold (Cronos, Pans Labyrinth). What I is a feast for the eyes and ears that draws inspiration from almost every genre of popular international Hong Kong martial arts horror and gothic Japanese anime, and then adds the unique sensitivity of the director with a unique vision, who knows how to bring it across in a big way .
