In the six years following the first record of the AIDS epidemic in 1981, more than 40,000 people in the U.S. died while waiting. In response to the noise for action on AIDS crisis, then-Vice President George HW Bush has been quoted as saying you want to change, change your attitude. Roger Ebert recalls: Politicians do not want to be associated with the disease. Hospitals accept a victim, and when dying AIDS victim, some health workers place the body in a garbage bag in black. Funeral refused to accept the bodies. As noted in David French documentary How to Survive Plague, activists like ACT UP New York-based organization began to resist cruel government apathy, challenge the FDA to change the process of adoption of the drug and pharmaceutical companies to lower their prices and speed up the process of their research. Apart from protest groups, individuals also did their part to determine the feasibility Crusader, electricity Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaughey), a good ol Texas boy gay members, is part Jean Marc-Central Vall? Is it bad and hard hitting Dallas Buyers Club.Written and Melisa Wallack and Craig Borten and based on a true story, is a story of personal struggles Woodroofs after being diagnosed with AIDS and their efforts to spread awareness of public disorder and help reduce suffering and prolong life of AIDS patients. During the film, heterosexual, blatantly using drugs and lovers Woodroof begins receiving bad news from his doctors that he only has thirty days to live. Reacting with vitriol, he runs out of the hospital, and do curse the homophobic slurs while staff accused of making mistakes diagnosis. After thoroughly research the disease, however, to accept the idea of his grave disease, Woodroof heard about clinical trials for new drug AZT, the only legal drug that has been available for a while in the United States. His attempt, however, that one of the participants has refused to buy drugs hidden in an orderly manner. Unfortunately, he soon realizes that the dose you are taking AZT is toxic and its condition worse. Refusing to give up, visit the American doctor unfair (Griffin Dunne) in Mexico, which has had some success with alternative remedies such as vitamins and drugs.Smuggling based on antiviral protein FDA approved drugs and alternative experiments in the U.S., creating a business that allows you to distribute free medicines for AIDS patients who pay a monthly fee to join its Dallas Buyers Club, one of many clubs that have emerged across the country. Woodroof is aided in his adventure by Tranny addicted to drugs Rayon (Jared Leto), patient guy she met during her hospital. Although the representation of Rayon movies does little break gay stereotypes, their collective commitment to help victims of AIDS helps Ron saw his business partner in a different light than in their first meeting. With the help of intelligent physician, Eva Saks (Jennifer Garner), Woodroof Rayóny work together while dodging the Food and Drug Administration and enforcement of the wrath of pharmaceutical companies. In one of his best efforts, Matthew McConaughey, who lost 40 pounds for the film, gives a brilliant performance as the emotionally fragile but basically decent Woodroof. Although ultimately not proved useful alternative medicines, Woodroof decision and Scratches on the face of powerful interests helped paved the way for the development of new treatments, although it was not until the late 90's and find one that was fully effective. As a result of his efforts and those of many others, HIV is not a death sentence it once was.
